Your compliance data stays on your machine
Aegis is a desktop application. Everything you enter — assessments, evidence, documents, risk registers, asset inventories, and every other compliance record — is stored in a database that runs locally on your own computer, inside the Aegis installation folder. Zoffec Technologies Pvt Ltd ("ZTPL") does not receive, store, or have access to this data. There is no cloud copy unless you explicitly export and share it yourself.
What does leave your machine
Aegis makes exactly three kinds of outbound network calls, and only these:
- License status check — a one-way SHA-256 hash of your license key, sent to check whether it has been revoked. No customer name, no compliance data.
- Email — sent only when you configure mail settings and trigger a send (user invites, password resets, review reminders). It passes through your own configured mail provider.
- Update checks — checking for a newer signed installer version.
The public website and console
This page, the pricing page, and the contact-sales form are hosted separately from the desktop product. Submitting the contact-sales form sends the information you enter (name, company, email, phone, expected entity count) to ZTPL's sales pipeline so a member of the team can follow up — this is the only data collection on the public site itself. The ZTPL Console (used internally by ZTPL to issue licenses) stores license and customer-account records; it never receives your compliance data.
